Uncertainity still exists over the possibility of pakistan hosting the champions trophy. Many other countries like sri lanka and south africa have evinced interest in hosting the event in case it is not conducted in pakistan and this has put more pressure on pakistan.
Albeit pakistan successfully hosted the asia cup without any problems , the recent bombings in pakistan and the unwillingness of some players to play here has raised an uncertainity over pakistan hosting the so called mini world cup
