PCB selectors not interested with Shoaib Malik as Captain

The pakistan cricket board selectors are reportedly not too happy with the captaincy of malik of late. The team`s performances in the asia cup doesn`t help his cause.


The selectors found that he was favouring those close to him in the team rather than going by the talent. Misbah ul haq was is the current vice captain is all set to be given the captain`s role anytime sooner according to the reliable sources.

Lahore Court Removes Ban on Shoaib

Fiery Pakistani fast bowler today got a major reprieve after a Lahore court removed the ban on the fast bowler and reduced the fine amount to Rs. 7 millions. The consequence of this judgement is that Shoaib is fit and eligible for selection to the Pakistan national team. According to sources, the fast bowler has got some serious backing of some senior politicians and this has helped him in getting out of the ban. Whether Akhtar will be selected for the team is still a very big question mark more so because the coach is not too keen to get him on board due to his troubled relations with the team members. But no doubt Shoaib is a very good bowler and if selected he can surely bolster the almost dead Pakistani bowling attack.

Pakistan Cricket in doldrums again!!

Pakistan`s shock exit from the Asia cup has left the PCB officials fuming as to what can they do to get their team right. The team is not united as reports said, the seniors like younis khan, shahid afridi and mohammed yousuf have formed a group and are against the young captain Shoaib Malik. The Pakistani coack Geoff Lawson was so frustrated after the loss against Sri Lanka that he lashed out at the reporters at the press conference and later apologized. It is high time the Pakistan Cricket Board officials do some serious thinking to get Pakistan back to shape again.
